Interstate and Express Lanes ITS Maintenance FDOT D4 Eland is the prime contractor for FDOT D4 ITS Maintenance Interstate ITS program in Broward County. The responsibilities include daily project management for this contract; safety management; Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG); Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); budget analysis; maintenance forecast; development of project management plans (PMP); hurricane/emergency response plans; inventory management; research and testing on new devices; recommending ITS equipment specifications; ITS infrastructure and devices routine maintenance, installation, integration, testing, diagnosis, repair, and troubleshooting; and configuration of all devices in the District 4 area. Eland is responsible for all DOT interests on new projects and inspection.
Arterial Traffic Management System Maintenance FDOT D4 Eland is the prime contractor for FDOT D4 Arterial Traffic Management program in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The D4 Arterial Management System consists of closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV); dynamic message signs (DMS); Bluetooth Travel Time Detector; vehicle detection systems (VDS); backbone and edge Ethernet switches; wireless communications devices; fiber optic cable; digital video encoders; terminal servers; gas and diesel power generators; uninterruptible power supplies (UPS); camera lowering systems; control cabinets; communications hubs; ancillary facilities; environmental conditioning equipment; device structures; and all related hardware, software and firmware. Eland is providing daily project management and maintenance routines, as well as periodic and preventive maintenance activities, on all ITS equipment and all other equipment used within the Intelligent Transportation System..
FTE ITS Maintenance South Eland was awarded as the prime contractor to provide ITS Maintenance Services for Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) starting August 2016. FTE supports one of the largest ITS programs in the state, which consists of state-of-the-art ITS infrastructures and cutting-edge operations to enhance safety, services, and traffic flow. FTE ITS comprises two Traffic Management Centers (TMC); a dispatch center; a fiber optic-based 10GB Ethernet communication backbone; as well as a wide range of ITS devices including DMS, TTS, CCTV, VDS, HAR, and CBRAS, ancillary facilities, environmental conditioning equipment, device structures, and all related hardware, software and firmware. Eland performs routine, periodic and preventive maintenance activities on all ITS equipment and all other equipment used within the FTE Intelligent Transportation Systems in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St Lucie counties, for approximately 170 miles.
Utility Locating Services, Eland provides efficient, safe, highly trained technicians using the latest technology to locate underground ITS infrastructures in Florida. As a proud member of Florida Sunshine 811 since 2011, Eland handles 811 tickets processing, utility coordination, and locating services on a daily basis. Our client list includes public entities such as FDOT District Four, Florida Turnpike Enterprise, Broward County and Palm Beach counties, as well as private entities such as DBi Services, Mastec, American Lighting & Signalization, and Southeast Highway and Guardrail, to name a few.
Generator Monitoring Software - Eland has been instrumental in the district-wide deployment of the underground power-distribution and backup systems for the ITS networks in FDOT D4. The majority of ITS devices along approximately 200 miles of freeways in D4 are powered through one of 51 ITS power grids with backup generators. To improve efficiency in maintaining these generators, Eland has developed Remote Generator Monitoring Software to monitor the status of standby generators from D4 SunGuide TMC in real time. The monitored generator status includes management tools, live status, fuel level, temperature, engine oil pressure, and event and alarm history..
